When i attend Adobe DevSummit @ hyderabad on 1st December 2009., Mr.Harish the interactive software engineer for adobe had a brief session on it. It is really a future rocking tool to create flexibly. Even for Designer and for the developers. There is much more for any developer who can do integration with JAVA, PHP n more.

As a Open Source Techie i loved most to work on some Interactive Designs with Catalyst.

ooww...Catalyst project can be imported into flash builder 4 to make it dynamic.
Make a template in photoshop or Illustrator and then import the same into catalyst as ungrouped object to work on. pretty much interesting right.
Explore your integration skills with the design stuff... Rock on and thanks to Adobe.(They given me platinum pass for free :P )

Hi guys
I found the great way of creating table less web layouts using adobe web based product i.e., Dreamweaver very flexible and easy.
These days websites are almost based on controlled by centralized styles written in external sheets. Creating websites with DIV tags is easiest way if we use Adobe Dreamweaver where we can find the help and tutorials in Adobe portal.

When creating a new page in Dreamweaver, you can create one that already contains a CSS layout. Dreamweaver comes with over 30 different CSS layouts that you can choose from. Additionally, you can create your own CSS layouts and add them to the configuration folder so that they appear as layout choices in the New Document dialog box.

Dreamweaver CSS layouts render correctly in the following browsers:

Firefox (Windows and Macintosh) 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0;
Internet Explorer (Windows) 5.5, 6.0, 7.0;
Opera (Windows and Macintosh) 8.0, 9.0; and
Safari 2.0.

HTTP and HTTPs

The main difference between http:// and https:// is it's all about keeping you secure** HTTP stands for Hyper Text Transport Protocol.

There are some primary differences between http and https, however, beginning with the default port, which is 80 for http and 443 for https. Https works by transmitting normal http interactions through an encrypted system, so that in theory, the information cannot be accessed by any party other than the client and end server. There are two common types of encryption layers: Transport Layer Security (TLS) and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), both of which encode the data records being exchanged.

Http serves as a request and response procedure

http is hyper text transfer protocol which is responsible for transmitting and receiving information across the Internet where as https is secure http, which is used exchanging confidential information with a server, which needs to be secured in order to prevent unauthorized access.
HTTP stands for Hyper Text Transport Protocol, which is just a fancy way of saying it's a protocol (a language, in a manner of speaking) for information to be passed back and forth between web servers and clients.

If the web address begins with https://, that basically means your computer is talking to the website in a secure code. The web address (at the top of your web browser) will begin with https instead of http.
Https is not a separate protocol, but refers to the combination of a normal HTTP interaction over an encrypted Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) or Transport Layer Security (TLS) transport mechanism. This ensures reasonable protection from eavesdroppers and (provided it is implemented properly and the top level certification authorities do their job properly) man-in-the-middle attacks.

The canvas tag is only a container for graphics, you must use a script to actually paint graphics.
It is a new tag which implemented in new html version. which allows to render the graphics and bitmap images for dynamic scripts.
It is not very difficult as well as not very easy...U must and should need to know the basicsof HTML n Java script to work on.
It is a purely browser dependent HTML tag which may not probably works in Internet Explorer.
Apple Company introduced for their own product and component called Man OS X Webkit., and Safari Browser. Now it was adopted to Open Source browsers like Firefox and Mozilla(Gecko browsers). Works fine in OPERA browser too.

Poverty is the root cause of all social evils and also restricts promising students to get education. We, through this group, would try to educate n help the poor children. The government cannot bear the responsibility of helping n educating numerous illiterate children, hence people like us have to take the responsibility of helping children, who are either close to poverty or living below the poverty line. We can make some small groups at local level, can arrange some classes on turn-basis leading to education of poor children. Today, we live with more awareness and concern about global poverty than at any time in our world's history.
Developing countries have made much progress in reducing poverty and hunger but have not been as successful in reaching the poorest of the poor, according to the International Food Policy Research Institute's (IFPRI), recent report “The World's Most Deprived”. Utilizing household survey data from 20 developing countries, the report found the reduction of poverty has been slower for the “ultra poor”, those who are living on less than 50 cents per day, most of whom are in Africa. The report estimated that some 162 million people could be classified as ultra poor, and if they were concentrated in a single country they would make up the seventh most populous nation after China, India, the United States, Indonesia, Brazil and Pakistan.

More than ever, people can see or read about swollen stomachs of hungry African children, 11 year-old Asian children working in sweatshops, and Haitian families living in mud huts without medical care, electricity, or clean water. At the same time, many of the richest people are global celebrities. Poverty can no longer be kept secret and neither can prodigious wealth. Yet, the growing world recognition of massive disparities between rich and poor does not necessarily mean that economic inequality is worsening or that poverty is spreading.

Mosaic -- The First Global Web Browser

Mosaic was the first popular Web browser, and greatly helped spread use and knowledge of the web across the world.

In 1992, Joseph Hardin and Dave Thompson worked at the NCSA (National Center for Supercomputer Applications), a research institute at the University of Illinois. When they heard about Tim Berners-Lee's work, they downloaded the ViolaWWW browser, and then demonstrated the web to NCSA's Software Design Group by connecting to the web server at CERN over the Internet. The group was duly impressed.

Two students from the group, Marc Andreessen and Eric Bina, began work on a browser version for X-Windows on Unix computers, first released as version 0.5 on January 23, 1993. His release message was forwarded to the newsgroups by Berners-Lee six days later, seeding subsequent redistribution and wider awareness. Bina provided expert coding support. Andreessen provided excellent customer support, monitoring the newsgroups continuously to ensure that they knew about and could fix any bugs and make desired enhancements.

Ever wondered what company logos mean and whats the significance behind them? Wonder no more!

You might think the arrow does nothing here. But it says that amazon.com has everything from a to z and it also represents the smile brought to
the customer's face. Wow, that is quite deep.

Eighty-20 is a small consulting company which does sophisticated financial modeling, as well as some solid database work. All their work is highly quantitative and relies on some serious computational power, and the logo is meant to convey it.

People first guess that 20% of the squares are darkened, but that turns out to be false after counting them. The trick is to view the dark squares as 1's and the light squares as 0's. Then the top line reads 1010000 and the bottom line reads 0010100, which represent 80 and 20 in binary.

Kinda like the surreal green screen of The Matrix, they want us to read stuff in binary

Am not sure how many of you have noticed a hidden symbol in the Federal Express logo.
Yeah, I am talking about the 'arrow' that you can see between the E and the x in this logo. The arrow was introduced to underscore speed and precision, which are part of the positioning of the company.

Paul Rand (who designed the iconic IBM logo in 1972) designed this 'eye bee M' logo in 1981. I like that they are quite relaxed about the logo, unlike certain other companies who do not like the logo to be tampered with in any way even for internal promotions

The SUN Microsystems logo is a wonderful example of symmetry and order. It was a brilliant observation that the letters u and n while arranged adjacent to each other look a lot like the letter S in a perpendicular direction. Spectacular.

The above are two magazines from the Readers Digest stable. Again, the attempt to communicate what it is about quite figuratively through the logo catches my attention.

This was a logo created for a puzzle game called Cluenatic. This game involves unravelling four clues. The logo has the letters C, L, U and E arranged as a maze. and from a distance, the logo looks like a key

This logo is too good. For the name Eight, they have used a font in which each letter is a minor adaptation of the number 8.

There was a man who worked for the railroad. One day as he went into the freezer compartment to do his routine work, the door accidentally closed and he found himself trapped in the compartment.

He shouted for help but no one heard him since it was past midnight. He tried to break down the door but he could not. As he lay in the freezer compartment, he began to feel colder, and colder. Then he began to feel weaker, and weaker, and he wrote on the wall of the compartment, “I am feeling colder, and colder; and I am getting weaker, and weaker. I am dying, and this may be my last words”.

In the morning when the other workers opened up the compartment they found him dead. The sad twist to the above story is that the freezing apparatus in the compartment had broke down a few days earlier.

The poor worker did not know about the damaged freezing apparatus and in his mind the freezing apparatus was working perfectly. He felt cold, got weaker and literally willed himself to die.

How to view xml source from a downloaded flash (.swf) file?

-Rock, web open source technologist
Open the website URL where u wanted to download the flash stuff from., (For the best practice use Firefox 2.0 version to download the flash file). Then open the downloaded flash file in a decompiler., (decompile the flash file or .swf file with a full version of any decompiler., to grab the internal script written inside the file., if the file is decompiled in a trial or a demo versioned decompiler some of movieclips and class files and also the internal actionscript may lost.) Once after completion of converting the .swf file into .fla file..open in a adobe flash tool. After that view the whole script where written.,(you can have all the scripts written in a document by clicking the actionscript panel[F9] right hand side bar.)., search for the .xml path where given in the Actions. You may find the whole path., or else you can view the relative path from where the data was retrieving which is in a xml file.
In the opened web url..just paste the xml given file name. And you can have the tags of the whole xml file.
Just select all the Tags and save it with the file name which was given in the flash action script panel., and also maintain the path as given in the actions.
